Join us for a unique evening as we pay tribute to the Old Fashioned Wisconsin Supper Club.

Supper club restaurants were the hot dining trend in the mid twentieth century. They provided a place for people to spend their evenings enjoying cocktails, home-cooked, high-quality food and entertainment. Documentary filmmaker, Holly DeRuyter, hosts Lake Lawn Resort’s Supper Club experience.  She presents her film, “Old Fashioned: The Story of the Wisconsin Supper Club”, which takes you into this unique Wisconsin institution. Lake Lawn Resort will present the ambience and flavors of a true Wisconsin Supper Club, beginning with the signature Old Fashioned Cocktail, traditional relish trays, entrees, and dessert. 

Holly will be accompanied by Mary Bergin, author of Wisconsin Supper Club Cookbook.

Relish Tray
A Lazy Susan Relish Tray with pickled cucumbers, kidney bean salad, sliced beets, olives, celery and carrot sticks, green onions, and cheddar cheese spread with an assortment of crackers and bread sticks.

Salad
Enjoy a Green Salad of Iceburg Lettuce garnished with fresh vegetables and your choice of Thousand Island, Green Goddess or French.

Savory fresh-baked stone-ground wheat bread with Wisconsin butter.

Entree
Choose one of the classic entrees, served with fresh California vegetable medley:
•English cut prime rib au jus with twice-baked potato
•Chicken cordon bleu with stone-ground mustard sauce and cheddar mashed potatoes
•Broiled lemon caper whitefish with parsley potatoes

Dessert
Cheesecake with graham cracker crust and Wisconsin cherry sauce.

Event will take place in our Lake Lawn Room.  Doors & Cash Bar Open 6:30pm.  Show begins 7:00pm.  Dinner is served at 7:30 pm.  Movie begins at 8:30 pm.  Q&A to follow at 9:30 pm.
