Attorney Brigette Kutschma of Soberalski Immigration Law will provide an immigration law presentation, sharing her knowledge regarding complicated immigration issues, in both English and Spanish. The presentation includes a discussion of current family and humanitarian-based immigration options, such as family pathways, protections for crime and abuse victims (U-Visa & VAWA), DACA, Green Card & Employment Authorization renewals, US Citizenship, asylum, juvenile cases, and more. She will also discuss immigrant rights and protection in the home, community, and at work. Participants are encouraged to bring questions to the event.
In 2024, Attorney Kutschma was recognized as a “Pro Bono Champion” by the American Immigration Law Association. She is a founding pro bono attorney of the Whitewater Legal Clinic, providing free monthly immigration law consults to the community. In 2020, she was named the esteemed “Adult ELL Educator of the Year” by the nationwide Coalition of Adult Based Education. She graduated from Marquette Law School in 2003 and previously served as an Assistant Public Defender and an adult ELL instructor. She has been active in the Walworth County community, with the Geneva Lakes Family YMCA, Walworth County Literacy Council and Lake Geneva School District.
