Dementia and Alzheimer's Disease Presentation with Jake Sawyer
This presentation will overlay a basic introduction as to what dementia is and its various forms, providing a deeper understanding of Alzheimer's Disease specifically. The presentation will also discuss communication strategies, interventions to common behaviors, the importance of routine building, future planning, and how to create engaging activities for those living with dementia. Jake Sawyers is the Dementia Care Specialist with the Aging and Disability Resource Center of Walworth County. As a Dementia Care Specialist, Jake can help educate family members on disease progression, problem-solve challenging situations, provide support and connect caregivers to services.
