Join Old World Foundation to hear Eleanor Roosevelt (portrayed by Jessica Michna) speak of her tragedies and triumphs. Bring your own teacup and enjoy tea, savories and sweets while enjoying this performance by Jessica Michna. Born into the opulent wealth of America’s “Golden Age” Eleanor Roosevelt would grow from the shy, homely orphan into a confident, driven woman. Impacted by personal tragedy, she would emerge as a champion of civil rights, author, and stateswoman. Eleanor has been characterized by many as our most respected First Lady. She is best summed up by President Harry S. Truman, who dubbed her “The First Lady of the World.” We will also be raffling off our centerpieces: $1 per ticket or 6 for $5. Only 52 seats are available, so make your reservation today. $30 per person, discounts available for our Friends (those who support with an annual, unrestricted gift).
